• A new client engagement - in the Banking / Financial Services sector
• Deepening my knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, and its Application Portfolio Management (APM) tool.
  

2022 Challenges: 

• Dealing with my mother's accelerating dementia decline
  
• Dealing with the treachery of extended family members fucking with my mother's head and emotions - and stabbing me & my sister - in the back, repeatedly. 
• COVID-19 
• Working in a truly Dilbert-esque simulation
• Dealing with the truly diabolical healthcare services, doctors, laws, lawyers, police, social services - of the state of Alabama, the  county of Baldwin, and the city of Foley.
  

 

Too long...

Too long I have waited.
Too long I have simply endured.

Repeating, like a tireless film loop...the same sequence of events, every day.

Too long I have sublimated the intense longing for the open road.

Too long I have had to endure the psychosis that is what mostly constitutes corporate America.

Too long I have denied the **** against stupidity and incompetence.

The years have flowed by...like the waters of the Amazon.

Too long I have tarried.

Cobweb and vines entangling my soul, chaining my heart to a time, to a place, to memories of things that have long since passed, nevermore to return.

Winter deepens.

Days shorten.

Darkness lengthens.

But, the turning of the spheres will bring the dawn...and a new year...and new adventures...and new hopes, new dreams.

For Thy Name is Dog

For, Behold!

Thy name is "Dog"!

Thou shalt be long-suffering...

And loyal to thine owner.

 

A sure friend - like unto no other...

And thou shalt be fêted with treats, until the end of of your days...

 

And I shall place within you a light that shall shine...

Even until the sun shines no more.

 

Thy name shall be a blessing...

And a succor in times of joy...

Or, in times of woe.

 

Of a steadfast heart will I mold thee...

 

Thou shalt walk at times in the shadows...

And at times in the noonday sun.

 

Thou shalt lead when they are weary...

And follow...to keep watch from behind.

 

No evil shall approach...lest it feel the wrath of your rage...

For I shall bless thee with speed, strength, and cunning.

 

The smallest and the weakest will rest under your watchful eye...

At all times...thou shalt be a comfort to those you ward.

 

Thine eyes shall be blessed to speak what is in thy heart...

And those who are true - will read your words...in your eyes.

 

And thy voice will be a warning...and a cause for joy...

 

For while god may not walk upon the earth...

He has sent you in his stead...until the fullness of time is filled.
