Today's meditation:
If I had wanted to work in "theater", I would have chosen acting as a profession.
Many - are "actors" - on the stage of their chosen profession.
They "play a part".
They "recite their lines".
And for a time, everyone suspends disbelief - so we can all enjoy "the show".
But it doesn't make "the show" any more real - than the story told on a stage, in a real show, on Broadway.
There is much vested interest in staging "shows". But, at the end of the night - the props are put away, the make-up is removed, the theater is emptied, and the lights are turned off.
And just because an actor may play the part of a doctor, a pilot, or a lawyer - in a play....doesn't mean they can actually perform those jobs.
But, please. No talking during the performance - we do so want to enjoy the show (and that requires suspending disbelief).
Shhhhhh! The show is about to start...
